AnInvestment Valuation Specialistis responsible for determining thefair value of private investments, includingprivate equity holdings and private credit loans, using established financial modeling and valuation methodologies. This role supports internal portfolio reporting, investor communications, and audit requirements by providing well-supported, defensible valuations.
Core Responsibilities
Performmonthly and quarterly valuationsof private equity investments and private credit loan positions.
Build and maintainfinancial models, includingDiscounted Cash Flow (DCF),Leveraged Buyout (LBO)models, andmarket multiples/comparable company analysisto determine enterprise and equity values.
Evaluateprivate credit instruments and loan portfolios, incorporating factors such as yield, credit risk, repayment structure, and market spreads to estimate fair value.
Reviewfinancial statements, transaction agreements, and capital structuresto understand underlying business performance and debt obligations.
Conductindustry, market, and comparable company researchto support valuation assumptions and investment insights.
Prepare detailedvaluation memos and reportsfor internal stakeholders, auditors, and investors, explaining methodology and assumptions.
Respond toaudit and compliance inquiries, ensuring valuation methodologies align with accounting standards and industry practices.
Mentor junior analysts and managemultiple valuation projectsin a fast-paced investment environment.
