Purchasing Specialist
We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Specialist to support procurement operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role will be responsible for sourcing materials, issuing purchase orders, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring production teams receive materials on time. The ideal candidate will have strong experience purchasing for manufacturing operations and working within ERP or MRP systems to support production schedules and inventory planning. Responsibilities: Source and purchase raw materials, components, and supplies for manufacturing operations Create and manage purchase orders using ERP/MRP systems Obtain quotes, evaluate suppliers, and negotiate pricing and delivery terms Track orders and ensure timely delivery of materials to support production schedules Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with production and planning teams Maintain purchasing records, supplier data, and procurement documentation Support cost reduction initiatives and supplier performance management Qualifications: 6+ years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience Experience purchasing within a manufacturing or production environment Experience using ERP or MRP systems Strong organizational, negotiation, and vendor management skills Proficiency with Excel and standard business software Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field Professional certifications such as CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management), CPIM (Certified in Planning and Inventory Management), or similar Experience supporting production planning or inventory management in manufacturing $60,000 - $75,000 a year
