POSITION SUMMARY:
As a Commercial Credit Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting lenders by conducting thorough financial analyses for credit requests from both new and existing commercial clients. You will prepare detailed credit approval and modification submissions for presentation to the loan committee, along with performing annual credit reviews. Your expertise will also help ensure compliance with our credit policies, streamline the collection and analysis of financial statements, and keep reporting current. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Conduct in-depth analysis of financial statements and agency reports for prospective and current borrowing accounts, producing detailed reports on both short and long-term financial health. Offer insightful recommendations to Loan Officers regarding loan approvals or denials, backing your advice with comprehensive documentation. Identify and interpret key trends in financial data, as well as essential financial ratios such as cash flow to debt service and debt-to-equity. Document all financial analysis meticulously using spreadsheets and written memorandums. Propose appropriate loan grades following a comprehensive credit analysis. Coordinate departmental tasks to promote efficient communication and workflows. Prepare and provide assigned reports with accuracy and timeliness. Conduct annual reviews of existing loan relationships, ensuring timely updates. Requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in a banking or credit union environment as a Credit Analyst.
