Senior Security Systems Designer

in our Venue Sector, you will play a pivotal role in designing various complex building systems. You'll prepare essential design documents and perform engineering calculations while collaborating with project teams across disciplines. Moreover, you will have the opportunity to mentor less experienced designers and potentially supervise project teams. Key Responsibilities: Independently perform calculations and design engineering systems ranging from basic to advanced complexity. Create and prepare detailed system layouts, drawings, and schematics. Evaluate shop drawings to ensure adherence to project plans and specifications. Compile, review, and modify project reports and design documentation. Conduct research and assess the feasibility of various systems and equipment. Offer technical guidance and leadership to team members. Develop and maintain professional relationships with clients and strategic business partners. Engage in industry events to foster networking and business development. Maintain proactive communication with clients and team members throughout project phases. Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions and monitor construction progress. Address conflicts that may arise among owners, architects, and contractors. Continuously pursue knowledge in industry standards, trends, and software such as Revit and Bluebeam Revu. Encourage information sharing and ideas for enhancing technical processes among team members. Adhere to Henderson's design guidelines, policies, and procedures. Support project managers in various tasks while proactively seeking help on unfamiliar assignments. Assist in project coordination efforts, including managing communications and ensuring project quality. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field with a minimum of 6 years of experience or 8 years of relevant experience with a high school diploma or equivalent. Completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam is preferred. Additional certifications in technical fields (e.g., BEMP, CPD, NICET) and sustainability (e.g., LEED, WELL) are valued. Advanced proficiency in engineering design and familiarity with relevant codes and standards is essential. Strong command of Revit and Bluebeam Revu is required. Ability to learn and train others on various systems and processes. Demonstrated capacity to work both collaboratively and independently in a dynamic environment. Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and relevant engineering design software. Proactive, self-motivated, and willing to support colleagues as necessary. Committed to embodying core competencies indicated in this role.
