Job Summary

Summary of Responsibilities: Reporting to the Director, Marketing & Communications, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following.

Responsibilities

Assist in the development and execution of the hotels’ yearly Marketing & Communications plan in conjunction with the Commercial Director and Director, Marketing & Communications to support all revenue streams (Rooms, Food & Beverage)

Work closely with Director, Marketing & Communications and Director of Revenue Management to develop a strategic plan of digital projects, campaigns and activities that will enhance the customer experience when interacting with the brand as well as increase the revenue

Supporting select initiatives with Director of PR and Director of Celebrations.

Collaborating with Digital Marketing Manager for key digital initiatives and strategies across various platforms, including social media

Support marketing needs as it relates to photography and video editing (both internal and external) to capture compelling content and brand aligned visuals.

Support activations on property and brand initiatives (Sales Blitz)

Strategize and execute social media campaigns and regular posts, developing specific methods to generate awareness, engagement, and e-commerce conversion through social media while nurturing and managing interactive buzz, focusing on blogs and social media sites (such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube) and branded online communities to generate positive exposure

Provide daily maintenance for all social media presence, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and any future channels, including visual updates, handling incoming responses, composing messages as needed

Assists with design for hotel copywriting, layout and production of promotional materials. Engages and liaises with graphic designers or assigned third party vendors, as needed

Produce monthly reporting across Sales & Marketing areas including but not limited to Sales, Convention Services and Catering and PR.

Research, set up and execute creative monthly email campaigns, data segmentation & reporting

Ensure excellent communication to all appropriate distribution channels, both internal and external

Align with Director, Marketing & Communications with storytelling and brand awareness to leverage Fairmont San Francisco’s majestic past, rich history and magnificent future. Serves as go-to for new Heartists to learn about our brand and hotel specific pillars.

Involved with regular updates of images and descriptions of hotel, room brands, outlets and services are completed, providing direction on content management for all appropriate distribution channels, both internal and external.

Support affiliate marketing initiatives through editorial and content management of key websites and campaigns

Author creative messaging and/or copywriting for online communications, partner referral websites, and public relations opportunities

Monitor and respond to Key Travel Sites through Hotel Reputation platforms

Works with Director, Marketing & Communications to achieve the hotel’s KPIs and DigiFit goals

Develop and increase traffic through online channels that will improve the overall revenue for the hotel and other key financial and customer matrix

Work closely with Director of PR and Area Director of Revenue Management to develop a strategic plan of digital projects, campaigns and activities that will enhance the customer experience when interacting with the brand as well as increase the revenue

Follow departmental policies and procedures

Follow all safety policies

Other duties as assigned

Job is located at Fairmont San Francisco and may include select evenings or weekends for event activations

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be analytical, proactive, innovative and highly organized, with excellent administrative and creative copywriting skills

Ability to build strong relationships, and interact at all levels

Must be a creative and effective leader, possessing a high degree of professionalism, adaptability and administrative ability

Must be passionately in tune with latest internet marketing developments, online behavior and trends within the technology and hospitality industries

Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) from four-year college or university required

Minimum of 2 years digital marketing/communications, including demonstrable experience in managing SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media and/or display advertising campaign

Solid knowledge of website analytics tools (Google Analytics, Net Insight, Omniture, WebTrends etc.) with proven ability to demonstrate data interpretation

Fundamental understanding of SEO and SEM

Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel

Self-motivated, requiring minimal supervision in a fast-moving environment

Problem solver, and ability to think “outside of the box”

Photography/video skills or interest in learning about this area is highly desired

Additional Information

Salary Range: $77,000.00 to $95,000.00 USD Gross annually

Visa Requirements: Must have proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
