Lexington Sporting Club is seeking a motivated
Community Engagement Intern
to help support the execution of outreach initiatives and matchday community activations surrounding our USL Championship and Gainbridge Super League teams. This role offers hands‑on experience working at community events, youth clinics, nonprofit activations, and matchday initiatives. The Community Engagement Intern will play an important role in representing the club externally while helping execute meaningful programs that connect Lexington Sporting Club with the community.

What You’ll Do
Assist the Community Engagement team with setup and breakdown of Lexington Sporting Club community events and activations.
Support matchday community initiatives including partner recognition moments, donation drives, in‑stadium and on‑field experiences.
Provide on‑site assistance during player appearances, school visits and community outreach events.
Greet community partners, guests and participants to ensure a welcoming and professional club presence.
Assist with preparing signage, giveaway items and informational materials for community events.
Capture basic photo and video content for internal recap and reporting purposes.
Provide general administrative support to the Community Engagement team as needed.
Represent Lexington Sporting Club in a professional and enthusiastic manner at all events.
Work Environment
Fast‑paced, high‑energy setting during events, often with large crowds
Exposure to loud noise levels from fans, music, and stadium announcements
Frequent standing, walking, and lifting of equipment (up to 25 pounds)
Indoor and outdoor work locations depending on location (weather exposure may apply)
Team‑oriented atmosphere with frequent interaction with customers and coworkers
Required to maintain a clean, professional appearance
Event‑based scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Current college student pursuing Sports Management, Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Comfortable interacting with community partners, youth participants, and large crowds
Organized and able to support event logistics in fast‑paced environments
Ability to work evenings and weekends during match season
Reliable, detail‑oriented, and comfortable working in a public facing settings
To support a safe and professional workplace, employment with Lexington Sporting Club is contingent upon the successful completion of a pre‑employment background check.
