
Key Account Manager

This position is a field position and requires at least 50% of travel, throughout our Southwest & Southeast region.

Responsibilities
This position is accountable for managing the Sherwin-Williams Bridge Coatings and Traffic Markings portfolio within the State Departments of Transportation to maintain and increase sales/growth and market share for the P&M Division. This position is accountable for sourcing and developing relationships with the appropriate key stakeholders within the assigned Departments of Transportation that lead to sales, margin, market share and profit growth throughout the Functional Coatings business segment. This position will serve as the single point of contact to manage the product approval processes and relationships within the various functions related to the approval and use of Sherwin-Williams coatings for each applicable state within the identified geography The goal of this position is to ensure Sherwin-Williams has products approved in every state to support liquid, rebar fusion bonded epoxy, and traffic marking customers. This position will work with area Sales Directors, Sales Managers, and Sales Representatives along with other divisional stakeholders to ensure Sherwin-Williams internal stakeholders and external customers are aware of Sherwin-Williams approved products. This position must be able to effectively utilize and collaborate with Sherwin-Williams sales, marketing, and technical resources to meet customer expectations, to achieve sustainable sales/market growth and maintain or expand S-W specification positions within the identified geography. This position will manage multiple State Departments of Transportation including regional offices as needed to maintain a complete, measurable specification position with state DOT master and project specifications. This position will actively attend and seek leadership opportunities as applicable in local, regional and national AASHTO and industry related meetings and conferences. Rebar/PMBU vertical, Southeast, and Southwest regions The State Departments of Transportation these roles will support for Rebar/PMBU are aligned with the states in each region Qualifications
Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future (e.g., OPT, CPT, H1B, EB-1,etc.) Must have a valid, unrestricted drivers license. Must have a high school diploma or GED Must be able to work with all levels of the P&M Sales Organization Must be able to demonstrated knowledge and proficiency of multiple corrosion prevention solutions Excellent verbal and written communication skills required to effectively communicate and influence specifiers and asset owners. Must have experience managing complex sales cycles (12-24 months) Must be proficient with Saleforce.com or equivalent CRM platform Must travel at least 50%. Preferred Qualifications: Have a bachelors degree or higher in business Have three (3) years of business-to-business sales experience in the coatings industry Have AMPP certified or other industry certifications Have Industrial specification experience within the water/ waste water space Have NACE Level 1 or AMPP Coatings Inspector About Us
