Overview
This job is a hybrid role in Jefferson, GA. You will be onsite 2-3 days per week. The AMS Asst Director of Accounting will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing the financial operations for the AMS region, ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. This position will be responsible for leading a team of Financial Analysts, who monitor timely and proper account within the region. The AMS Accounting Manager will provide strategic financial oversight, optimize financial processes, and work closely with leadership to support data-driven decision-making. Responsibilities
Lead and manage the financial activities for the AMS region , ensuring compliance with corporate policies, GAAP, IFRS, and regulatory requirements. Oversee and support Financial Analysts
in providing accurate financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting for their respective areas. Ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial statements , including balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and cash flow reports. Oversees accounting policies and procedures , ensuring alignment with corporate financial guidelines and best practices. Support financial performance
by identifying efficiencies in financial processes, automation, and opportunities for better controls. Financial Analysis & Reporting:
Consolidate financial data from Financial Analysts and provide actionable insights to senior leadership. Prepare and present financial reports
to the Director of Accounting & Financial Reporting, ensuring transparency and timeliness. Utilize various methods and tools
to support strategic decision-making by providing clear narratives that explain business results compared to prior year performance and budget expectations. Develop and maintain KPIs
to track financial performance across the region. Provide financial expertise
that supports operational decision-making and business growth. Process Improvement & Internal Controls:
Establish, implement, and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracy. Lead process improvement initiatives
to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations. Identify opportunities for automation
and digitalization of financial reporting and accounting processes. Collaborate with IT and finance teams
to optimize ERP and financial systems for enhanced reporting capabilities. Provide leadership and mentorship
to Financial Analysts, fostering professional growth and development. Ensure the team has the necessary tools and training
to execute financial strategies effectively. Promote a culture of continuous improvement , accountability, and collaboration within the accounting function. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with Operations, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Treasury, Tax, and other departments to drive financial alignment and efficiency. Partner with business leaders
to provide financial insights that support strategic planning and operational decision-making. Assist in financial due diligence
and integration activities for mergers, acquisitions, or expansions. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification strongly preferred. Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in financial accounting and reporting, with at least 4 years in a leadership role. Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, internal controls, and financial regulations. Experience managing financial analysts or controllers within a large, multinational organization. Proficiency in ERP systems, financial reporting tools, and advanced Excel skills. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Excellent communication and collaboration
