Construction Superintendent – Lead Ground-Up Commercial Facility Builds
Job Overview Company: Progressive Builders Inc. Salary/Pay Rate: $32 to $36 per hour plus Year-End Bonus. Location: Travel Required (Greenville, SC). Job/Employment Type: Full Time. As a Superintendent at Progressive Builders Inc., you will be the driving force behind high-impact commercial projects. You will lead diverse field teams and manage complex builds for a family-owned company that prioritizes long-term career development. This role offers the autonomy to oversee critical site operations while receiving the support of an experienced leadership team. How You Will Make an Impact Direct and supervise field crews of up to 10 workers to ensure precise execution of project specifications. This position is hands-on and you will be supporting your team in the field. Coordinate the daily logistics for wood framing, concrete work, and steel erection of commercial buildings. Maintain strict adherence to project timelines and safety protocols to ensure on-time delivery. Document daily field progress and site conditions to maintain high levels of operational transparency. Resolve real-time technical obstacles on-site to prevent project delays or budget overruns. Mentor junior team members by sharing technical expertise in commercial construction methods. Serve as the primary site representative, upholding company standards of quality and customer service. Required Qualifications & Experience Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience within the commercial construction industry. Proven proficiency in leading wood framing, concrete, and steel erection work. Self-motivated ability to manage field crews and subcontractors with minimal oversight. Willingness to travel to various project assignments as required by the business. Preferred Qualifications & Experience Specific experience in petroleum-related construction projects or specialized facilities. Associates or Bachelors degree in construction management or similar field. Demonstrated history of "staying power" or long-term loyalty with previous employers. Weekly pay cycle with Year-End Bonus opportunities.
