Job Description: Infor SX.e Business Analyst (On-Premise)
Role Overview We are seeking a hands-on
Infor SX.e Business Analyst
to manage and optimize our on-premise ERP environment. In this role, you will be the primary functional expert responsible for ensuring our
Infor SX.e (Progress-based)
system supports our day-to-day distribution, inventory, and financial operations. You will work closely with department heads to refine workflows, manage system integrity, and ensure our on-premise infrastructure meets evolving business needs.
Key Responsibilities
On-Premise System Administration:
Manage the functional configuration of the Infor SX.e environment, including user permissions, warehouse logic, and module setup. Workflow Optimization:
nalyze existing on-premise processes (Quote-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay) to identify inefficiencies and implement system-based solutions. Requirements & Documentation:
ct as the liaison between business users and IT; document functional requirements for custom mods or Progress-based enhancements. Data Integrity & Reporting:
Maintain database health and generate critical business reports using tools like
CyberQuery ,
Progress Results , or SQL-based reporting. Testing & Troubleshooting:
Lead functional testing for all system patches, custom code deployments, and third-party integrations (EDI, WMS, or banking interfaces). Internal Support:
Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for troubleshooting transaction errors and providing advanced end-user training and SOP documentation. Required Qualifications
Experience:
3+ years of direct experience with
on-premise Infor SX.e
(CHUI or Web UI) within a wholesale distribution or industrial supply environment. Technical Knowledge:
Deep understanding of core SX.e modules:
IC
(Inventory Control),
OE
(Order Entry),
PO
(Purchase Orders), and
AP/AR . Familiarity with the
Progress OpenEdge
database environment.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Supply Chain, or equivalent work experience. Problem Solving:
Strong ability to diagnose "broken " transactions or data discrepancies within a complex legacy environment. Preferred Qualifications
Experience managing
third-party integrations
(e.g., Credit Card processing, EDI, or external WMS) with an on-premise SX.e host. Background in
Progress 4GL/ABL
programming or basic Linux/Unix administration.
