We are seeking top Loan Originators (Mortgage Bankers) who will be responsible for originating, structuring and managing mortgage transactions for nationwide multifamily projects. The position is in-office and will be located in Charlotte, NC focused on generating leads through Cushman & Wakefield’s Multifamily Investment Sales platform. Our Loan Originators play a pivotal role in the growth and development of Greystone’s multifamily mortgage loan business. We pride ourselves on the breath of our products, and our ability to create innovative and customized solutions for our clients.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Proactively identify and generate new client relationships nationwide through networking and referrals, and by attending top industry conferences. Provide debt quotes for new and existing multifamily listings, attend multifamily valuations presentations and buyer property tours. Work with Greystone’s Underwriting teams to review mortgage application process with clients and review documentation as necessary. Ensure applications are completed accurately and compile loan package for submission. Structure multifamily loans by providing debt financing solutions. Size loan opportunities in Excel model, compile loan applications and negotiate multifamily loan structure with client while reviewing all terms. Negotiate mortgage loan terms with borrowers. Lead transaction through full loan process from identification of loan through screening, underwriting, and closing and servicing while providing a top customer service experience to borrowers. Expand relationships with key market leaders, trade associations, and professional organizations to function as an active source of referrals to cement Greystone as the capital solutions provider of choice. Develop, foster, and maintain strong relationships with multifamily/healthcare owners and developers. Experience, Skills, and Abilities Required
Prior experience with origination Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and bridge multifamily loans. Demonstrated experience in commercial real estate with a focus on multifamily mortgage lending. Superior client relations and expansion of client relationships. Determination and willingness to work long and hard to grow a business. Creative and a focus on solutions. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence. Proven sales ability, with strong mathematical/analytical skills. Self-motivated, well-organized individual.
