
Senior Tax Advisor

Storgate is seeking a Senior Tax Advisor to join our family office platform. This Dallas-based role will work closely with our advisory teams to support ultra-high-net-worth families, family offices, and operating businesses across tax planning and compliance. The ideal candidate is expected to bring strong technical tax knowledge with an advisory mindset and the ability to collaborate with internal teams and external CPAs and attorneys.
What You’ll Do
Advise client families and family offices on income tax and fiduciary income tax matters
Support trust, estate, and fiduciary structures with ongoing income tax planning and coordination
Assist with business, partnership, and pass-through tax considerations for entities and operating businesses
Provide tax analysis related to investment decisions, liquidity events, and private investment structures
Collaborate with external accounting firms to review returns and identify planning opportunities
Support transaction-related tax planning, including business sales, recapitalizations, and restructurings
Evaluate the tax implications of asset allocation decisions and cash-flow planning
Monitor changes in federal and state income and fiduciary tax laws and assess impacts for client families
Prepare internal analyses, planning summaries, and client-ready materials
What You Bring
An active CPA license
Meaningful experience in public accounting, family office, private client, or closely held business environments
Strong foundation in individual income tax, pass-through entity taxation and fiduciary income tax
Skills to understand and analyze complex financial structures and operating businesses
Excellent communication skills and comfort working directly with sophisticated clients and advisors
Collaborative mindset and appreciation for multidisciplinary planning across tax, legal, and investments
Proactive, ownership-oriented mindset with a desire to grow within a team-oriented organization
