PRIMARY OBJECTIVES OF POSITION Fiduciary Counselling, Inc. (FCI) is seeking an accomplished
Senior Tax Advisor
to join our private family wealth management office. In this role, you will deliver sophisticated tax compliance, planning, and advisory across a wide range of complex clients. You will work closely with Client Advisors and Financial Managers to support longterm client objectives while contributing to a collaborative, highstandards environment focused on accuracy, integrity, and exceptional service.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide tax planning services that analyze tax-minimizing opportunities and deliver tax advisory guidance on complex tax matters aligned with clients’ broader financial goals; collaborate closely with Client Advisors.
Review complex tax filings and projections, including individual, fiduciary, partnership, transfer, and foundation returns, as well as quarterly and annual tax liability projections.
Research, analyze and document complex tax issues; prepare wellsupported analyses and share actionable recommendations.
Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, internal partners, outside professionals, and tax authorities to obtain information, resolve issues, execute tax work, and support examinations and audits as needed.
Represent client interests during tax audits, inquiries, and correspondence with tax authorities.
Mentor and provide day-to-day support to Tax Advisors and Tax Assistants.
Identify opportunities to streamline tax processes and workflows, championing automation, data tools, and evolving technologies.
Serve as an integral member of client service teams, contributing to meeting planning and taking part in client meetings as requested.
Stay current on federal, state, and local tax law developments, pending legislation, industry best practices, and evolving technology trends, applying relevant updates to client work and internal processes.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or related field.
5–7+ years of tax experience, including extensive work with complex partnerships.
Active CPA, EA, or Attorney license required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex topics clearly.
Highly organized, detail oriented, and consistent in following through commitments.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a confidential, relationship-driven environment.
