
Omnichannel Sales Analyst - Grocery

As the Omnichannel Sales Analyst for the Grocery team, you will blend analytical expertise, data-driven storytelling, and teamwork to drive sales growth across in-store and online platforms. Your work will focus on analyzing sales trends, optimizing the marketing mix, and developing compelling selling stories. By maintaining accurate product listings, creating impactful reports, and supporting e-commerce initiatives, you'll directly influence business decisions and efficiency. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Create, implement, and maintain daily, weekly, and ad hoc sales reports that provide insights into product performance, market share, and promotional effectiveness.
Analyze internal and syndicated sales data to identify trends and opportunities, delivering actionable insights to support decision-making for the grocery channel and Bel.
Maintain sales reporting models that track and drive insights for the marketing mix (price, promotion, product, and place).
Generate clear, compelling selling stories and presentations for line reviews and buyer meetings, leveraging data analytics across multiple customers and product categories.
Item Creation, Maintenance, & E-Commerce Content
Maintain accurate and up-to-date product listings for our Grocery customers, ensuring completeness of attributes, pricing, and information.
Partner with eCommerce to ensure accurate and current online product content.
Support item and event setup, manage sample and quote processes, and resolve issues to enable smooth execution of merchandising and promotional activities.
Marketplace Analytics & Reporting
Provide ad-hoc analyses to support business operations and inform commercial opportunities.
Monitor pricing, features, searchability, and item reviews for key products on grocery customer dot com sites summarizing effectiveness and recommending optimizations for the digital shelf.
Customer & Team Support
Collaborate directly with the Grocery sales team and Sales Strategy team to support item/event execution, display initiatives, and issue resolution.
Assist other cross-functional areas (Sales, Marketing, Category Management) in developing opportunities and providing relevant data and analysis.
Strategic Collaboration & Insights
Work cross-functionally to align on assortment, pricing, and promotional strategies, actively participating in team meetings, category reviews, and business planning sessions.
Translate complex analytics into actionable business recommendations and contribute to the creation and delivery of data-driven presentations.
Process Improvement & Best Practices
Identify reporting and process inefficiencies and recommend/document best practices to enhance speed, consistency, and quality of analysis.
Help establish, maintain, and improve standard operating procedures for tracking, audits, item management, and reporting processes.
Qualifications Minimum degree and experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Statistics or a related field, or equivalent experience
3+ years supporting analytical work in sales finance, revenue management, category management, or CPG/food & beverage business environments
E-commerce experience is strongly preferred
Skilled with Excel; experience with Power BI, Tableau, SAP, or syndicated data (IRI, Nielsen) preferred
Solid understanding of business metrics (gross/net margin, market share, elasticity, ROI)
Comfortable working with large sets of data; strong attention to detail and accuracy
Capable communicator—able to summarize and present analysis to diverse audiences
Collaborative attitude with willingness to learn; able to work across functional boundaries
Excellent organization, prioritization, and project management skills
High integrity and ability to work with confidential business information
Ability to adapt to change, work with some ambiguity, and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic team environment
Analytical rigor: Strong attention to detail, advanced proficiency in Excel/PowerPoint, and ability to handle, visualize, and make sense of large datasets.
Grocery expertise: 1-3 years analyzing Grocery data, using Retail Link, QMS, Item 360, and syndicated data sources (Luminate, Circana, Nielsen).
Data-driven storyteller: Skilled at presenting insights, crafting persuasive narratives, and influencing decision-makers in buyer meetings or cross-functional forums.
Proactive problem-solver: Confident, curious critical thinker who thrives in a fast-moving, matrixed environment.
Collaborative partner: Excellent communicator and team player, able to inspire and influence change across teams and functions.

Working Conditions This is a hybrid office-based role in our Chicago Headquarters location. Hours of work will generally be during regular business hours with at least 40 hours a week. There will be in person meeting expectations on a regular basis. At times there will be some variation in work hours due to special projects, deadlines and other concerns. Up to 10% business travel may be required.
