The Sales Professional is responsible for developing new customer relationships, driving profitable growth, and expanding market presence for rotating equipment—specifically pumps, blowers, and engineered packaged systems—within an assigned territory. About the Role

This role centers on promoting and selling a broad range of pump technologies, including positive displacement and centrifugal equipment, as well as custom engineered systems. The ideal candidate is a self‑motivated, goal‑oriented individual who excels at building customer relationships, managing complex sales cycles, and working both independently and collaboratively. Responsibilities

Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities within the assigned territory. Develop and expand accounts throughout the region. Monitor industry trends, regulatory developments, and competitive activity to guide sales strategy. Conduct customer meetings, deliver presentations, and drive opportunities toward closure. Perform regular sales calls with timely follow-up on proposals and active projects. Drive profitable sales of rotating equipment, including pumps, blowers, and engineered packaged systems. Manage the complete sales cycle—from lead generation and proposal development through negotiation and closing. Follow up on internal reports and sales leads to secure meetings and quoting opportunities. Maintain accurate activity tracking within CRM tools and provide weekly updates. Consistently meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets. Partner with other sales team members on shared accounts or projects to ensure alignment and maximize win potential. Build strong relationships with key decision‑makers and influencers through in‑person and virtual interactions. Provide technical and commercial support to clients to ensure satisfaction and foster repeat business. Represent the organization at industry events, trade shows, and conferences. Cross-Functional Collaboration Coordinate with applications engineering, project management, and operations teams to support successful project execution. Communicate customer feedback to internal stakeholders to support product improvements and long-term strategy. Assist with proposals, bids, and technical documentation as needed. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or related discipline (Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Distribution preferred). Strong technical understanding of rotating equipment, including centrifugal and positive displacement pumps. Ability to interpret P&IDs and customer specifications. Demonstrated success in new business development and closing complex sales. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities; highly organized and detail‑oriented. Self‑starter with the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision. Willingness to travel overnight for customer meetings and internal events. Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
