Healthcare Support Role
Schedule: Rotating schedule of three 12-hour shifts per week (Onsite) Shift times may include 7:45 AM8:15 PM or 7:15 AM6:45 PM (Saturday & Sunday shifts) Must be available to work weekends and holidays Position Overview: This role supports a primary care facility located on the north side of Indianapolis. The office operates seven days a week and requires someone who excels in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable navigating evolving and unexpected challenges. The ideal candidate is patient focused, adaptable, and committed to delivering compassionate, high-quality service. Top Responsibilities: Provide compassionate and empathetic care to patients Clearly explain processes, procedures, and next steps to patients Apply strong problem-solving skills to address patient needs Follow detailed and stringent clinical and administrative protocols Respond to patient inquiries by phone and email Determine appropriate solutions while adhering to organizational guidelines Coordinate issue resolution with other departments as needed Collect and enter patient demographic and billing information Assist with scheduling and database updates Top Skills for Success: Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities Critical thinking and sound judgment Exceptional attention to detail Ability to remain calm and effective in a fast-paced setting Healthcare experience strongly preferred Customer service experience (especially in high volume/fast-paced settings) is a plus Medical office, or insurance experience is a plus Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED required No experience required (training provided) Knowledge of medical terminology or medical coding preferred Ability to type 30+ words per minute Basic working knowledge of computers and ability to navigate multiple systems
