About the Role The Search Specialist is a key member of the team responsible for improving the internal search experience on a
B2B pharmaceutical distribution eCommerce platform . This role focuses on
enhancing product discoverability, relevance, and conversion
through
data-driven search optimization . The Search Specialist partners with cross-functional teams to ensure search strategies align with business KPIs while delivering a seamless eCommerce experience.
Essential Duties Analyze on-site search data to identify trends, optimization opportunities, and actionable insights. Monitor search performance metrics to support a
best-in-class search experience . Optimize multiple sets of
search rules, relevance algorithms, and AI/ML models
to improve search result relevance. Collaborate with
product, UX, data science, sales, content, assets, merchandising, and marketing teams
to refine search strategies. Support management and evolution of
AI/ML-driven search models and automation tools . Troubleshoot search-related issues and partner with technical teams for resolution. Document
search governance, operational workflows, and best practices . Assist with search testing, QA, and performance validation during enhancements or new feature launches. Communicate insights and recommendations effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Qualifications
2-5 years of experience in
search relevance, merchandising, SEO, or a related field . Experience with
Coveo
or similar enterprise search platforms is a plus. Experience working with or supporting
AI/ML models
is a plus. Strong
analytical skills
with the ability to translate data into actionable insights. Excellent
written and verbal communication skills . Familiarity with
B2B eCommerce or digital merchandising
is preferred. Pharmaceutical or healthcare experience is a plus. Strong
organization skills
and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
