UMD Stores-Executive Accounts Specialist

This is a 30 hour per week, 12 month position supporting the Financial Department of the UMD Stores. Duties are primarily in the areas of accounts payable, Buyer/Supplier inquiries, P-Card payments, and supplier setup. Key Responsibilities

Accounts Payable - 70%: Process invoices and credit memos, invoice matching, enter data into MBS system, document upload to FinOps template for PeopleSoft processing, delivery to Controller's office for imaging. Invoice and Disbursement Inquiries - 20%: Research and resolve Buyer and Supplier inquiries, partner with Disbursement Services and the UMD Controller's Office to resolve any payables issues. Maintain files in UMD Stores' Accounts Receivable department. Other Financial Support - 10%: Monthly Payment Card (P-Card) processing, supplier setup, serves as backup for the UMD Stores Cash Room. Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED plus four (4) years of general accounts transaction experience. Training/education may be substituted for some of the years of experience. Computer experience required. Specific knowledge/skills may be required. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Experience using various software solutions (e.g., MS-Excel, email, etc.). Exceptional attention to detail. Excellent interpersonal skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Action oriented - Operates with a sense of urgency and accountability. Physical/Other Requirements

Work varied hours/days as business dictates. Pay and Benefits
