Overview NPG of Yuma-El Centro in Yuma, Arizona has an immediate opening for a full-time Weather Anchor. Were looking for an articulate meteorologist or weather anchor that can produce and present multiple weather segments during our weekday newscasts, using weather data and Baron computer graphics. Responsibilities Present weather information in a clear, engaging manner to viewers. Shoot, write scripts, lead-ins and other material related to weather. Cover weather using Baron; respond to breaking weather news; be familiar with weather in our viewing area. Maintain a strong social media presence and post content multiple times a day on our website and social accounts (Facebook, X/Twitter, Instagram) as well as station accounts. Qualifications Articulate meteorologist or weather anchor with ability to produce/present weather segments. Experience with Baron computer graphics is preferred; background in weather coverage. Spanish proficiency is a big plus in our market. Strong on-air presentation and news judgment; ability to respond to breaking weather news.
