General Summary and Purpose: The Portfolio Analyst supports portfolio analytics, external performance reporting, and GIPS-related processes while working closely with investment professionals and the sales team. This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, organization, and timely delivery of portfolio data, attribution analysis, and consultant reporting. In addition, the Analyst performs ad‑hoc analytical work for the Investment Team, including risk analysis, portfolio reviews, and research support, providing direct exposure to portfolio construction and investment decision‑making [with the opportunity for expanded responsibilities based on performance.
You Will:
Produce external reporting including portfolio attribution, risk metrics, and portfolio characteristics for due diligence questionnaires and marketing materials.
Perform ad – hoc portfolio analysis to support the sales team's client pitches, presentations, and ongoing client discussions.
Generate risk reports and attribution analysis on behalf of the investment team for investment proposals, memos, and quarterly client deliverables.
Lead the quarterly production process for client‑facing materials including performance commentary, macro highlights, and attribution write‑ups.
Support new product rollouts by creating analytical materials, responding to product‑specific requests, and assisting with client due diligence inquiries.
You Have:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, or a related quantitative discipline
0–2 years of experience in asset management, investment operations, performance reporting, or related analytical roles (internship experience acceptable)
Foundational understanding of portfolio performance measurement, attribution, and investment risk concepts
Familiarity with portfolio analytics platforms such as FactSet, Bloomberg, Morningstar Direct, Zephyr or demonstrated ability to quickly learn new analytical systems
Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in Excel
Target Compensation: The target base salary range for this position is $65,000 - $75,000.
Salaries are determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data/ranges, applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees, and certifications.
Victory Capital Management operates a pay‑for‑performance compensation philosophy and total compensation may vary based on role, location, department and individual performance.
