We are looking for a
Senior Benefits Specialist
who has a passion for promoting employee health and well‑being, who can help evolve our current benefit programs and thrives on ensuring success to completion. This is your chance to be the expert for the American National benefit programs, shaping employee experience and driving enhancements that matter.
What Will You Do
Lead open enrollment from start to finish, handling Dayforce configuration, and providing employee education sessions/appropriate trainings
Lead annual benefit renewals and plan changes
Serve as the primary point of contact for carriers and broker
Make recommendations in conjunction with broker for changes in plan designs, plan document language, and vendor selection
Serve in a key role to shape total reward strategies that will help to assess, design, and implement innovative programs or enhancements
Support the company Wellness Program design enhancements and implementation
Lead the strategy, design, and delivery of health and welfare benefit programs including medical, pharmacy, dental, vision, wellness, disability, life, and other voluntary programs
Manage the employee benefit inbox
Function as the benefit subject matter expert, guiding colleagues and ensuring smooth operations
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience leading health and welfare programs, considered
Led benefit program renewals and open enrollment, including carrier negotiations, plan design, and open enrollment education
Certifications such as CBP (Certified Benefit Professional) or CEBS (Certified Employee Benefit Specialist) are ideal
Strong HRIS benefit module skills, Dayforce - preferred
Excel proficiency (sorting, filtering, VLOOKUP, combining large datasets)
Self‑starter who can operate independently and drive processes forward
Familiarity with benefit filings, such as 1095 and 5500 reporting, is beneficial
Experience designing or enhancing wellness programs strongly valued
Our job titles may span more than one career level. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, including training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market demands. The base pay is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
