Position Overview A licensed cannabis cultivation facility in
Turner, Michigan
is seeking a knowledgeable and hands-on Grower
to support the Head Grower in overseeing daily cultivation operations. This role plays a key part in maintaining plant health, optimizing yields, and ensuring the production of high-quality cannabis.
The Grower will help manage cultivation staff, monitor environmental conditions, implement cultivation schedules, and ensure compliance with Michigan cannabis regulations. The ideal candidate has strong cannabis cultivation experience and is comfortable working in a fast-paced, production-focused environment.
This position requires the flexibility to work weekends as part of the cultivation schedule.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the Head Grower in managing all stages of the cultivation cycle including
propagation, vegetative growth, flowering, harvesting, drying, and curing
Monitor plant health and identify potential issues related to
nutrients, pests, disease, or environmental conditions
Support the implementation of
nutrient programs, irrigation schedules, and lighting plans
Assist with
Integrated Pest Management (IPM)
practices
Maintain proper
environmental conditions
including humidity, temperature, airflow, and lighting
Supervise and assist cultivation staff with daily tasks including pruning, transplanting, defoliation, and harvesting
Ensure proper
sanitation and cleanliness
within cultivation areas
Track plant growth and cultivation data and assist with reporting
Ensure compliance with
Michigan cannabis regulations and seed-to-sale tracking requirements (METRC)
Assist with developing and maintaining
standard operating procedures (SOPs)
for cultivation activities
Coordinate with the Head Grower on harvest planning and production schedules
Qualifications
2–4+ years of professional cannabis cultivation experience , preferably in a commercial grow facility
Experience working in
indoor, greenhouse, or large-scale cultivation environments
Strong understanding of
plant nutrition, irrigation systems, and environmental controls
Familiarity with
Integrated Pest Management (IPM) practices
Knowledge of
Michigan cannabis regulations and compliance requirements
Experience using
seed-to-sale tracking systems (such as METRC)
Ability to lead and support a cultivation team
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to lift up to
50 pounds
and work in a physically active environment
Ability and willingness to work weekends as required by the cultivation schedule
Preferred Qualifications
Degree or coursework in
Horticulture, Agriculture, Plant Science, or a related field
Experience assisting in the management of
large-scale cultivation operations
Familiarity with
automated irrigation systems and environmental control systems
