As the face of the brand, the DSM champions the company’s value proposition and customer experience, influencing dealers to deliver these standards to farmers. This role requires strong relationship‑building, agronomic knowledge, and the ability to coach dealers for success.

This role will cover Hughes, Hand, Sully, and Hyde counties in South Dakota. Duties & Responsibilities Develop and execute a district business plan and territory plans to achieve or exceed sales goals. Recruit, develop, and maintain a strong dealer network aligned with the company’s distribution strategy. Build and maintain relationships with dealers and growers; provide agronomic recommendations and product placement guidance. Champion the brand’s positioning, value proposition, and customer experience, while influencing and coaching dealers to adopt effective selling techniques, marketing programs, and service practices that deliver consistent farmer experience. Collaborate with the Area Sales Manager, Market Development Manager, and Marketing Communications team to plan and execute branded events, promotional activities, and dealer development initiatives. Utilize CRM and internal systems to manage sales, inventory, and customer data accurately, ensuring timely completion of critical operational tasks such as order bank management, returns, dumps, and account reconciliation. Monitor product performance and address customer inquiries; communicate trends to Area Sales Manager and Agronomy team. Collect accounts receivable from customers and ensure timely payment compliance. Coordinate test plots, field days, and branded events to showcase products and drive engagement. Maintain company vehicles and comply with company policies. Other duties as assigned. Dealer Development & Influence – Ability to coach and motivate dealers to deliver brand standards and customer experience. Sales & Territory Management – Skilled in creating and executing business and territory plans to achieve sales goals. Communication & Relationship Building – Strong interpersonal and presentation skills to build trust with dealers and growers. Operational Discipline & Accountability – Ability to manage deadlines for order bank, returns, dumps, and account reconciliation, including collections. Analytical & Problem‑Solving Skills – Capable of interpreting data and making informed decisions. Technical Proficiency – Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems. Industry Knowledge – Understanding of seed industry and agronomic practices preferred. Adaptability & Initiative – Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast‑paced environment. Proficiency in MS Office and CRM system is required. Able to effectively operate a motor vehicle and can comprehend and apply local driving laws.

Education and Experience Bachelor of Science or a Technical Degree in Agronomy, Ag Business or a related field is preferred. Minimum of three (3) years' experience in agriculture sales, preferred. Certified Crop Advisor (CCA) designation is a plus. Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and meet company and DOT driving regulation requirements.
