Job Description The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the scientific review of US promotional and non-promotional content. Additional responsibilities may include development of scientific disease-state or product medical communication content, including, but not limited, to slide decks, clinical/scientific FAQs, and medical information letters for Rare Disease Scientific Communications team. The Scientific Communications team works closely with cross-functional partners.
Key Responsibilities
Scientific review of promotional and non-promotional content
Understand US regulatory landscape and apply expertise to development and review of scientific resources
Delivery of innovative scientific and medical content (eg, DSE/digital/MSL materials/FAQs/Medical Information Letters)
Basic Requirements
Doctorate degree OR
Master’s degree & 3 years of clinical, academic, or industry experience OR
Bachelor’s degree & 5 years of clinical, academic, or industry experience
Preferred Requirements
PharmD, PhD, MD, or DO with one or more years of relevant experience in clinical research, patient care, Medical/Scientific Affairs, and/or basic research (Other doctorate degrees may be considered)
Prior experience in Medical Affairs or Clinical Development within the biopharmaceutical industry, and/or clinical or research experience in the therapeutic areas of neurology and/or rheumatology
An understanding of the pharmaceutical commercialization process and knowledge of the regulatory and legal guidelines affecting promotion of prescription products
Excellent communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, organizational, time management, and project planning skills with strong ability for self-direction
Understanding of disease landscape and clinical data to enable critical analysis of scientific literature and communicate implications cross-functionally
Strong computer and database skills, particularly with Microsoft Office products
Must Have Skill Sets
Previous experience developing medical content for field use
Proficient in Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Word, Excel
Ability to work cross functionally
