Purpose The Advertising Specialist will partner with our internal creative team and agency of record to plan, develop, and execute high-impact advertising campaigns that elevate Entergy’s brand, drive audience engagement, and deliver measurable business results. This role demands strong project management skills to orchestrate multiple campaigns, coordinate cross-functional teams and external partners, manage timelines and deliverables, and ensure seamless execution from concept to completion – all while optimizing performance and maximizing return on investment (ROI).
Job Duties / Responsibilities
Develop, execute, and manage integrated advertising campaigns across digital, social media, print, TV, radio, out-of-home, and emerging channels aligned with business objectives.
Conduct and oversee market research (in partnership with research vendors) to define target audiences, uncover market trends, and analyze competitor activity.
Collaborate with copywriters, designers, videographers, and other creatives to produce engaging ad content, including copy, visuals, video, and multimedia assets.
Plan and execute media buys, selecting optimal channels (e.g., Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn, programmatic, traditional media) and negotiating placements for maximum reach and efficiency.
Manage advertising budgets, tracking spend and ensuring campaigns deliver strong ROI while staying within financial guidelines.
Monitor campaign performance using tools such as Google Analytics, platform-native dashboards, and third-party trackers; measure key metrics (impressions, CTR, conversions, etc.).
Optimize campaigns in real time based on data insights to improve effectiveness and ROI.
Maintain brand consistency across all advertising materials in line with company guidelines and messaging.
Partner with internal stakeholders to align advertising with broader company strategies.
Prepare and present clear, actionable performance reports and recommendations to leadership and stakeholders.
Stay current on advertising trends, new platforms, technologies, and best practices to keep campaigns innovative and effective.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Business, or a related field.
4–7 years of progressive experience in advertising, digital marketing, or a related role.
Preferred Skills
Deep knowledge of advertising principles, media planning, and buying across digital and traditional channels.
Hands‑on proficiency with major digital advertising platforms (Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, programmatic DSPs).
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify insights, and drive optimization decisions.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience collaborating across teams and presenting to stakeholders.
Creative mindset with proven ability to develop innovative campaign concepts.
Solid understanding of SEO, SEM, and paid social strategies.
Proven project management skills, including the ability to lead multiple concurrent campaigns, manage timelines, prioritize tasks, and coordinate deliverables across stakeholders.
Experience with analytics and attribution tools beyond basic platforms (e.g., Google Data Studio/Looker, Tableau, or similar).
Working knowledge of design tools (Adobe Creative Suite) or experience directing creative production.
Familiarity with project management tools.
Prior work in the energy, utilities, or regulated industry is a plus.
