Career Opportunities: Regional Sales Manager (C-Store) (49268)
Lead and direct efforts to penetrate and develop National and Key C-Store, Vending, Drug, and Special Markets customers at both retailer/operator and distributor levels. Determine the best go-to-market strategy for all assigned customers in the snacking industry to obtain sustainable and profitable growth and achieve the company’s strategic goals and objectives. Work closely with internal customer service teams, sales support, and logistics to manage customer satisfaction. Manage current brokerage firms to assist in breaching C-Store Chains, Vending Operators, Drug, and Special Markets customers for distribution and promotional goals. Manage day-to-day business operations including, but not limited to, forecasting, budgeting, planning, reporting, presentations, and broker management. Monitor progress through sales reports, recommend adjustments, and implement strategies to achieve company goals. Maintain knowledge of National and Regional Trade Shows that are important to the specified classes of trade. Possess product and industry knowledge and serve as a technical resource internally. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, or Business, or equivalent work experience Three (3) years of related C-Store, Vending, Drug, and/or Special Markets sales experience Knowledge of National and Key Accounts and contacts at both retail and distributor levels in these channels Experience in broker sales management and National, Key, and Regional account management Experience in fresh food snacking, preferably with products that have a short shelf life Experience in forecasting, costing, promotions, and trade spend/accruals Strong presentation, reading, writing, communication, analytical, and negotiation skills Experience using IRI data to build compelling sales stories Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel with the ability to communicate business information in presentation format Environmental / Working Conditions Ability to travel 50–60% of the time Physical Requirements Usual office environment with frequent sitting, walking, and standing Occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and balancing Frequent use of eye, hand, and finger coordination enabling use of office machinery Oral and auditory capacity enabling interpersonal communication and communication through automated devices such as the telephone
