Job Summary On behalf of our financial services client, we’re looking for an experienced

UX Content Specialist

to join their Payments Onboarding team. The Content Specialist influences and executes the strategic vision for client onboarding experiences across Commercial & Investment Bank payment platforms. You will create consistent, user-centered content for application flows, activation journeys, help documentation, and educational materials that align with established standards and governance frameworks. You will collaborate with the Content Design Lead for Payments Onboarding and cross-functional partners to deliver seamless onboarding experiences while contributing to the development of scalable content patterns and self-service resources.

Key Responsibilities Content Creation & Execution

Design and write clear, concise content for onboarding flows, including application forms, welcome messages, support content, and error messaging

Create consistency across platforms by helping to establish and apply onboarding-specific style guides, content patterns, and design standards

Develop help articles, FAQs, tooltips, and educational content that support clients through onboarding and activation

Ensure all content adheres to accessibility standards, plain language principles, and regulatory requirements

Identify opportunities to create reusable content patterns and components across payment platforms

Document content decisions and rationale to build institutional knowledge and support governance frameworks

Contribute to the development and refinement of style guides and content standards

Participate in content audits to identify inconsistencies and improvement opportunities

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

Partner closely with the Content Design Lead to align work with strategic priorities

Collaborate with product managers, designers, developers, and business partners to understand requirements and constraints

Guide content through product review, legal/compliance approval, and accessibility validation processes

Participate in design critiques, content reviews, and team workshops

Quality & Continuous Improvement

Conduct content testing and incorporate user feedback to refine onboarding experiences

Leverage AI tooling and emerging technologies to enhance content creation and optimization

Stay informed on industry best practices in application design and financial services content

Contribute to team processes, templates, and self-service resources

Required Qualifications Experience & Background

5+ years of experience in content design, UX writing, or related fields

Proven experience designing application and onboarding flows for digital products

Strong portfolio demonstrating ability to create clear, user-focused content for complex experiences

Experience working within established design systems and content standards

Track record of successful collaboration with product and technology teams

Exceptional UX writing skills with ability to simplify complex concepts and processes

Systems thinking mindset with ability to see connections across experiences and identify patterns

Strong facilitation and presentation skills with ability to drive alignment across diverse groups

Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building capabilities

Strategic thinking balanced with attention to detail and execution excellence

Proficiency with design and collaboration tools (AEM, Figma, Lucid, Confluence, Miro, etc.)

Self-directed with strong project management and prioritization skills

Comfortable with ambiguity and able to navigate complex organizational dynamics

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in payments, financial services, banking, or merchant services industries

Knowledge of B2B or enterprise application and onboarding experiences

Background creating style guides, content standards, or design system documentation

Familiarity with AI-powered content tools and workflow optimization

Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA) and inclusive design practices

Experience with compliance and legal review processes in regulated industries

Knowledge of information architecture and content modeling

Background working in agile or product operating models

Education

Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field (or equivalent experience)
