Communications Specialist (Contract)
This is a contract role providing services to Microsoft through external staffing partners of Allegis Global Solutions. If you are selected for this role, you will be employed by AGS and will not be an employee of Microsoft.
Summary We are seeking an energetic and creative social media professional to join a dynamic marketing team supporting a major gaming studio. This position offers the unique opportunity to shape the social voice for a beloved gaming franchise while working with consumer products partnerships and Spanish-language community engagement. You will play a pivotal role in driving awareness and engagement across owned social media channels, collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and execute compelling social strategies that resonate with a global gaming audience. This role combines strategic thinking with hands‑on execution, requiring someone who can balance data‑driven decision‑making with creative storytelling. Job Responsibilities
Lead social planning and execution for consumer products partnerships on social media, ensuring alignment with broader brand voice, social strategy, and business objectives
Manage and execute social content for Spanish-language channels, ensuring brand alignment and synergy with primary accounts
Partner closely with consumer products, product marketing, and integrated marketing teams to understand priorities, timelines, and success metrics
Serve as a strategic connector between business objectives and creative execution, shaping briefs and recommendations for the creative team
Maintain content calendars, schedule posts, draft copy, and publish content across multiple social media platforms
Perform day-to-day social operations including content planning, calendar management, community engagement, and light moderation duties
Create, curate, and elevate social content at scale, highlighting creators, user‑generated content, and community moments
Monitor social media trends and identify opportunities to authentically connect cultural moments to brand initiatives
Track and interpret social performance metrics, contributing to campaign reporting and dashboards
Conduct social media data analysis and reporting to optimize content and demonstrate impact against business goals
Engage with players, brands, and influencers on social media platforms to foster community growth
Collaborate with stakeholders in regular meetings to align on campaign strategy and execution
Adapt quickly to changing priorities and platform dynamics while maintaining brand consistency
Requirements
Familiarity with the gaming franchise is strongly preferred
Experience with Sprinklr analytics platform is preferred
Creative portfolio or previous samples of social media strategy work is highly desirable
Minimum 5 years of experience working at a major game publisher or within the gaming sector
Minimum 5 years of experience speaking Spanish fluently in a professional capacity
Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience with social media strategy planning, goal setting, and implementation, preferably in Spanish
Experience managing high‑volume social media channels for well‑known video game publishers or similar organizations within the gaming sector
Native Spanish speaker with fluency in both written and spoken communication
Exceptional knowledge of social media platforms, trends, and best practices
Strong copywriting abilities with capacity to adapt to different tones of voice
Excellent data analysis and storytelling capabilities
Proficiency with analytics tools, particularly native social media analytics
Strong project management and organizational skills
Ability to influence without authority and work collaboratively across teams
Self‑motivated with ability to work independently and take initiative
Creative thinking with ability to generate engaging content ideas Cultural awareness and ability to connect trends to brand messaging
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain quality standards
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Duration: 3 months
Pay Range: $44.50 – $50.50 per hour
Weekly Schedule: 40 hours
Job Status: Non‑Exempt
