We are seeking a full-time Jrs/Womens Technical Designer with strong denim experience to join our team.
Denim Technical Designer Responsibilities
Lead fit sessions, fit comments, construction notes, and pattern corrections.
Create, update, and maintain detailed tech packs, including measurements, grading, construction details, BOMs, and sewing specifications.
Issue initial specs and grade rules to ensure consistent fit, balance, and sizing across product categories and seasons.
Measure and evaluate development, PPS, and TOP samples
Partner with pattern makers and factories to troubleshoot patterns, balance, and fit concerns; ensure feasibility for bulk production.
Communicate clear technical comments and approvals to overseas vendors and manufacturing partners in a timely manner.
Support wash development and testing, including shrinkage, stretch recovery, and overall denim performance.
Monitor fit and construction consistency across styles, identify recurring issues, and recommend process or spec improvements.
Denim Technical Designer Qualifications
5+ years of experience in Technical Design, Pattern Making
Denim experience required; juniors’ and/or women’s bottoms experience strongly preferred.
Strong problem-solving skills
Experience collaborating with Design and Production
High level of accuracy in measuring, spec-writing, and documentation; strong organizational and follow-up skills.
Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook, Adobe Illustrator, and PLM systems.
Strong verbal and written communication skills
