What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):

Provide outstanding customer service to taxpayers through verbal and written communication

Review and process tax forms and correspondence efficiently

Handle extensive phone and computer work as part of daily duties

Assist in resolving customer inquiries and problems effectively

Participate in occasional onsite work as required

What is Required (Qualifications):

Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school

Minimum of one year of experience responding to customer inquiries and resolving problems for the Treasury Customer Service Representative 6 level

Two years of experience for the Treasury Customer Service Representative 7 level, including one year equivalent to a Treasury Customer Service Representative 6

Three years of experience for the Treasury Customer Service Representative E8 level, including two years equivalent to a Treasury Customer Service Representative 6 or one year equivalent to a Treasury Customer Service Representative 7

Four years of experience for the Treasury Customer Service Representative 9 level, including two years equivalent to a Treasury Customer Service Representative 7 or one year equivalent to a Treasury Customer Service Representative E8

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):

Experience working in a remote environment

Familiarity with customer service in a call center setting

Ability to navigate multiple systems during customer interactions

Experience meeting or exceeding performance-based goals or metrics

Strong skills in researching and gathering information to assist customers
