About the Role
We are seeking a personable, motivated, and detail-oriented Part-Time Leasing Agent to join our team, representing single-family homes and apartment communities throughout Lake County, IL. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, excels at follow-up, and has a strong interest in building a long-term career in real estate.
This position is designed as a fast-track opportunity toward becoming a Property Manager for candidates who demonstrate leadership, initiative, and strong performance.
Key Responsibilities
Greet and engage prospective residents in a professional and friendly manner
Conduct property tours for houses and apartment units
Respond promptly to phone, email, and online inquiries
Follow up consistently with prospects to convert leads into signed leases
Process rental applications and assist with lease preparation
Maintain accurate records of traffic, leads, and leasing activity
Collaborate with maintenance and management teams to ensure units are ready for move-in
Assist with marketing efforts, including online listings and local outreach
Build positive relationships with current and future residents
Qualifications
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Personable, energetic, and professional demeanor
Excellent follow-up and organizational skills
Quick learner with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environmentStrong interest in real estate and desire to grow within the industry
Self-motivated with a positive, team-oriented attitude
Previous leasing or sales experience preferred but not required
Flexible schedule, including availability for evenings and weekends as needed
