
ERP Functional Consultant (Epicor)

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced ERP Functional Consultant specializing in Epicor to manage and analyze data within our Epicor ERP system. This position is essential for providing senior management with actionable insights that support data-driven decision making. The consultant will be expected to work on-site 5 days per week in our Chicago area location. Job Duties & Responsibilities: Epicor Data Analysis & Reporting:
Conduct thorough data analysis to identify trends and opportunities for improvement. Generate both regular and ad-hoc reports tailored for various departments and senior management. Optimize SQL queries for complex data extraction and analysis. Design insightful dashboards and visualizations to communicate findings effectively. System Administration:
Administer the Epicor ERP system including user management and security permissions. Perform routine maintenance checks such as backups, updates, and patches. Troubleshoot issues and recommend system performance improvements. Collaborate with IT for seamless integration with other organizational systems. Reporting and Data Manipulation:
Utilize Epicor's reporting tools alongside external BI platforms to create precise and comprehensive reports. Ensure data consistency and accuracy through manipulation and cleaning. Develop automated reporting solutions to enhance analysis efficiency. Business Process Improvement:
Work with department heads to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and create relevant performance reports. Analyze existing business processes to recommend data-driven enhancements. Provide data-backed recommendations to assist in strategic decision making for senior management. System Optimization:
Identify opportunities for enhancing Epicor ERP functionalities through customizations and integrations. Assist in the configuration of Epicor modules to meet business needs. Offer training and support to end users on data analysis and reporting capabilities as required. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Extensive experience with Epicor ERP focusing on system integrations, data analysis, and reporting. Advanced proficiency in SQL, BI, database management, and data manipulation techniques. Expertise in developing complex reports and dashboards using Epicor tools and external BI platforms. Strong analytical skills with the capability to translate data into actionable business insights. Excellent communication skills for presenting complex data to non-technical audiences. Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or similar). Familiarity with statistical analysis and predictive modeling techniques. Understanding of manufacturing processes and KPIs. Basic knowledge of network administration to support data access and security. Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with Epicor ERP is required. Benefits:
