Job Title HPLC Marketing Intern

Location: Columbia, MD

Schedule: 25 Hours per week | June-August 2026

Salary: $18 - $20 per hour

Position Summary Shimadzu Scientific Instruments is seeking a

HPLC Marketing Intern

to support the HPLC Marketing Team with projects focused on instrument performance analysis, application development, and technical evaluation. In this role, you will assist with laboratory studies, analyze instrument performance data, and contribute to the development of technical materials used to support product positioning and scientific credibility. This internship provides exposure to both analytical laboratory work and the strategic side of scientific product marketing, offering valuable insight into how technical data supports product growth and customer engagement.

Job Functions (include, but not limited to)

Assist with the collection and analysis of HPLC instrument performance data

Support method development and method transfer studies

Work directly with analytical laboratory instrumentation to support application‑focused projects

Evaluate reproducibility and performance metrics across laboratory experiments

Assist with data interpretation and troubleshooting during experimental studies

Contribute to the preparation of technical documentation, internal presentations, and marketing‑aligned scientific materials

Support the HPLC Marketing Team in generating technical data used to strengthen product positioning and application credibility

Education and Qualifications

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Life Sciences, or a related scientific discipline

Basic understanding of analytical laboratory principles and scientific instrumentation

Experience working in a laboratory environment preferred

Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills

Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret scientific data
