About the Role

As a Senior Publishing Editor on the Editorial Publishing team, you will help build high‑quality digital publications covering private financial markets and emerging technologies. Your editorial leadership will set standards, streamline workflows, and support the company’s mission to provide the best research to investors, advisors, and market participants.

Primary Job Responsibilities

Develop best practices for copy and developmental editing.

Help manage workflows and perform copy edits on key PitchBook content.

Collaborate with analyst teams to improve writing and support team documents.

Partner with designers on cross‑team initiatives.

Assist in new editor training, onboarding, and ongoing support.

Review sponsor‑submitted content with advertising operations.

Generate ideas to unify writing styles and enforce publication standards.

Work with Lead, Principal, and Managing Editors to refine editing processes.

Review online content for PitchBook News & Analysis.

Set individual quarterly goals aligned with team and company objectives.

Support company vision and values through role modeling.

Participate in company initiatives and projects as requested.

Skills and Qualifications

5+ years of editorial experience.

Track record editing diverse publications.

Proficiency in copy and developmental editing.

Excellent writing and editing skills with meticulous attention to detail.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, and publishing tools.

Experience with AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude) preferred.

Fast learner of new systems and software.

Ability to manage overlapping deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.

Capable of developing long‑term team strategies.

Must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship.

Compensation

Annual base salary: $85,000 – $100,000.

Target annual bonus: 10%.

Working Conditions PitchBook’s culture is built around in‑person collaboration. This role is expected to work in the office five days a week. Limited corporate travel may be required to remote offices or other business meetings.
