The

Marketing & Events Manager

leads the Chamber’s marketing, communications, and promotional efforts while supporting the execution of Chamber programs and events.

This role is responsible for maintaining the Chamber’s marketing calendar, overseeing communications platforms, ensuring consistent brand visibility, and coordinating event promotion and logistics in partnership with the Executive Director. The position plays a central role in communicating the value of Chamber membership and ensuring members receive strong visibility through Chamber marketing channels.

Primary Responsibilities

Marketing Leadership & Communications

Manage and implement the Chamber’s marketing and communications calendar

Lead creation of marketing materials including graphics, flyers, event promotions, and digital content

Coordinate and produce the Chamber’s bi-weekly E-News, including content planning, formatting, and distribution

Manage Chamber social media platforms and digital communications

Ensure consistent branding across all Chamber communications and materials

Promote Chamber programs, initiatives, and member opportunities through marketing channels

Highlight member businesses, ribbon cuttings, achievements, and announcements in Chamber communications

Website & Digital Presence

Maintain and update Chamber website content, event listings, and member visibility features

Ensure information is accurate, timely, and aligned with Chamber messaging

Coordinate future website improvements and content development as needed

Event Promotion & Execution Support

Support the Executive Director in planning and executing Chamber events and programs

Coordinate marketing timelines for each event including announcements, reminders, and follow-ups

Set up events in the Chamber database including registration, communications, and tracking elements

Prepare event materials such as signage, graphics, promotional pieces, and digital communications

Assist with on-site event logistics and coordination as assigned

Ensure sponsors and partners receive appropriate recognition in marketing materials and communications

Program Marketing & Visibility

Promote Chamber programs including but not limited to Better Business Series, Coffee & Commerce, Connect Groups, Business After Hours and other initiatives

Coordinate communication plans that support attendance and engagement

Ensure program messaging reflects Chamber value to members and the business community

Member Marketing Support

Coordinate promotional visibility for members through Chamber channels

Promote ribbon cuttings, business milestones, and member announcements

Support efforts to communicate membership value through consistent marketing exposure

Organizational Support

Provide administrative or communications support to Chamber leadership as needed

Attend Chamber events, programs, and community functions as part of marketing visibility efforts

Maintain strong relationships with members, partners, and community stakeholders

Provide timely reports on marketing activity and communications as requested

Participate as an active member of the Chamber staff team

Perform other duties as assigned in support of Chamber operations

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered

Experience in marketing, communications, nonprofit work, or event coordination preferred

Strong writing, design, and communication skills

Teachable and positive attitude

Experience managing social media platforms and digital marketing tools

Familiarity with website management systems preferred

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database systems

Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud or similar design tools preferred

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Professional, outgoing, and service-oriented demeanor

Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines

Willingness to work occasional evenings or events outside standard hours

Accountability & Work Location This position reports directly to the Executive Director and works from the Chamber’s headquarters in Lake City, Florida.
