Customer Service Representative (Healthcare)Position Overview

The Customer Service Representative provides inbound call support to members and healthcare providers regarding health insurance benefits. This role focuses on answering questions related to eligibility, claims, and benefits while delivering a professional and positive customer experience. Representatives work in a fast‑paced call center environment and manage a high volume of daily calls.

This position is ideal for candidates with customer service or call center experience who are motivated, detail‑oriented, and interested in career growth within healthcare support services.

Key Responsibilities

+ Handle 50-60 inbound calls per day from members and healthcare providers

+ Respond to inquiries regarding:

+ Insurance eligibility

+ Claims status

+ Benefit information

+ Accurately document all interactions in internal systems

+ Research and resolve issues efficiently and professionally

+ Follow established procedures, guidelines, and quality standards

+ Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction while meeting performance metrics

Required Qualifications

+ Customer service experience (retail, office, or call center environments acceptable)

+ Ability to work in a high‑volume inbound call environment

+ Strong verbal communication and active listening skills

+ Problem‑solving mindset with attention to detail

+ Basic computer proficiency, including:

+ Microsoft Teams

+ Microsoft Word

+ Microsoft Excel

+ Self‑motivated, dependable, and professional

+ Interest in learning and advancing within a customer service or healthcare support role

Preferred Qualifications

+ Prior call center experience

+ Healthcare, insurance, or benefits administration experience (preferred, not required)

Work Schedule & Environment

+ Fully onsite position

+ Must be available to work any 9‑hour shift between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM

+ Candidates submit 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift preferences

+ First preference is often accommodated but not guaranteed

+ Each shift includes:

+ Two 15‑minute paid breaks

+ One 30‑minute unpaid lunch

Compensation

+ Hourly Pay Rate: $20.00 - $21.00

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
