Foreclosure Specialist
Southfield, MI (Remote Unless Local - then there may be on-site days once per month) Do you enjoy using your negotiation skills to mitigate risk for your employer? In the Foreclosure Specialist role, you'll be: Monitoring redemption expiration, requesting marking instructions from Investor, and obtaining possession of properties. Sending vendor/agent requests for property preservation and necessary repairs as well as monitoring and liquidating REO properties. Processing loans through the entire foreclosure process, from referral to eviction. Processing loans through additional non-retention options (short sale and deed in lieu) from approval to liquidation of property. Processing loans through the full bankruptcy process. You'll have the opportunity to: Share best practices and experiences to improve processes and increase productivity. Assists counselors in preventing and reducing delinquency through effective communication with members. Effectively communicates with foreclosure attorneys, investors, and credit unions to determine liquidation strategies. Solve problems by using your analytical and organizational skills to predict and resolve issues. Collaborate with direct members of a team, as well as others within the organization. You'll have: Extensive knowledge of: foreclosure process, out of state foreclosure proceedings, FNMA/FHLMC required foreclosure guidelines, 571 claims, PMI claims, HUD, REO, and investor guidelines. Knowledge of all Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac and private mortgage insurance requirements. Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced, highly regulated, and deadline-driven environment.
