Senior Photographer / Videographer Job at Henderson Design Group in Henderson

We’re looking for a Senior Photographer to join our Creative team. This is primarily a product photography role — you’ll be the person behind the imagery that drives three growing home decor brands. You’ll be working in our large in-house studio shooting wallpaper, paint, and home accessories — styling and dressing room sets with furniture, props, and decor to create lifestyle and room set photography. You’ll work closely with the creative team on every detail, from set design and lighting through to the final edit, producing rich content that sells a feeling, not just a product. You’ll also create video content to support campaigns and social channels, so some video and editing skills are essential. You’ll be part of a group with three independent, thriving brands — each with its own identity and audience — so there’s real breadth and variety to the work. What You’ll Be Doing Styling and shooting room sets in our in-house studio — building scenes with furniture, soft furnishings, and accessories to showcase wallpaper and home decor in real-life settings Planning and art directing shoots end-to-end: concept, set design, lighting, composition, and final delivery Shooting product flat lays, close-up texture and detail shots, and lifestyle imagery for web, social, and print Creating video content and motion graphics — everything from short-form social clips to campaign videos Digital editing, retouching, and colour correction to ensure every image is on-brand and print-accurate Working closely with the Head of Creative to develop campaign ideas and visual direction Going on location for shoots when needed — styled spaces, events, and seasonal content Managing the studio space, equipment, props, and image library Keeping up with interior trends, competitor activity, and new creative techniques Using Trello to manage briefs and communicating progress with the wider team What We’re Looking For 5+ years’ professional photography experience (interiors, homeware, or lifestyle preferred) A strong portfolio showing high-quality studio and location work Expert-level Adobe Creative Cloud and Capture One Advanced flash photography, lighting, and composition skills Proven video production, editing, and graphic animation experience Strong organisational skills — able to manage multiple projects and hit deadlines A creative eye with an understanding of brand storytelling Experience mentoring or guiding junior creatives Knowledge of motion graphics and emerging formats (short-form video, CGI, AR) Understanding of the UK interiors and homeware market E-commerce or digital marketing experience About Henderson Design Group We’re a family-run British wallpaper and home decor company, established in 1993 and headquartered in Hartlepool.
