Sales & Business Insights Analyst Colorado Springs, CO Full-Time Position

About the Role

Are you someone who loves turning data into clear, actionable stories that help leaders make better decisions? As a Sales & Business Insights Analyst, you'll play a key role in shaping enterprise-level performance insights across Cook Media Global's Books, Curriculum & VBS, and Music business lines.

In this role, you'll go beyond dashboards-connecting trends, identifying opportunities, and translating complex analytics into insights that Sales, Marketing, Product, and Finance leaders can immediately put to use. You'll partner closely with Business Intelligence and IT teams to streamline reporting through scalable, automated solutions, freeing you up to focus on analysis that truly drives impact.

What You'll Do Deliver recurring enterprise performance reporting that clearly highlights trends, drivers, risks, and opportunities Translate BI dashboards (Qlik Sense) into concise written summaries for non-technical stakeholders Identify revenue, margin, product, and channel opportunities through structured data analysis Support forecasting and variance analysis by uncovering key performance drivers Analyze seasonal cycles and product lifecycles, including new releases and catalog performance Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Finance to answer strategic business questions Develop and maintain standardized KPIs in collaboration with BI teams Improve reporting efficiency by identifying automation opportunities and working with IT/BI on API-driven data delivery Ensure data integrity through validation and reconciliation across sources Provide ad hoc analysis to support strategic initiatives and leadership reviews Stay informed on industry trends and benchmarks relevant to publishing, curriculum, and music What You Bring

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Analytics, Data Science, or a related field 3-5 years of experience in business analytics, sales analytics, FP&A, or insights-focused roles Strong experience with BI tools (Qlik Sense preferred) Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data modeling) Ability to create clear, written insight summaries for non-technical audiences Solid understanding of forecasting, performance analysis, and KPI development Comfort collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment Work Environment

Standard business hours (40 hours/week), with flexibility during reporting and planning cycles Hybrid or remote-friendly work environment, with participation in virtual meetings as needed Detail-oriented analytical work requiring focus and accuracy Benefits and Perks:
