Customer Service Representative

to support its sod cutting season, which runs from

mid-March through early December . This part-time, seasonal role averages

2–3 hours of active work per day

with on-call availability during weekday business hours. The position is fully remote, offering flexibility and the opportunity to support a growing local business.

The successful candidate will answer customer calls, process orders, and provide support for both phone and web-based inquiries.

Key Responsibilities

Answer incoming customer calls regarding sod orders

Accurately enter customer orders (phone and web support)

Provide information on sod varieties, availability, pricing, and delivery

Assist customers using the online ordering platform

Communicate with the owner and sod farm manager as needed

Process pallet returns and track credits

Monitor and follow up on Accounts Receivable (A/R) issues

Candidate Requirements Essential:

Professional, confident phone presence

Reliable and responsive during agreed weekday hours

Organized and detail-oriented

Comfortable using computers and web-based systems

Ability to work independently from home

Preferred:

Prior customer service or administrative experience
