What makes this a great opportunity? As the Senior Manager, Innovation Commercialization, you will own the end-to-end commercialization operating model for innovation and ensure new products launch with clear tiering, validates size-of-prize and executable channel launch plan that deliver on-time, in-full, and on-performance. This role may be based out of the New York City or Chicago office.
Role Responsibilities
Commercialization framework & governance for full bottle spirits and (RTD) ready-to-drink: Build and maintain the innovation commercialization playbook (templates, standards, required inputs)
Define and manage innovation tiering and the required evidence, investment, and execution standards for each tier
Partner with portfolio strategy team to develop and own the methodology and assumptions to quantify opportunity by channel (distribution targets, velocity benchmarks, mix/margin, spend)
Build executive overviews to enable leadership approval across full bottle spirits and ready-to-drink portfolio
Lead and develop customer planning inputs and readiness reviews for priority launches to support sales leadership
Define and coordinate Post launch performance & learnings
Define innovation process success metrics and dashboard
Capture learning and update tiering standards, assumptions and playbooks to improve future launches
Key Outputs
Innovation tiering framework and commercialization playbook
Stage-gate calendar, templates, and decision logs.
Channel size of prize models and launch business cases
Launch readiness checklist
Launch toolkits
Post-launch readouts and learning summaries
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field
3-5yr innovation commercialization + 3-5yr brand, commercial strategy, category management, sales strategy, or trade marketing (CPG /Spirits preferred)
Strong cross-functional leadership and influence without authority; comfortable driving governance forums.
Strong analytical skills (opportunity sizing, scenario modeling, performance diagnosis)
Excellent communication and influencing skills; able to produce concise decision materials and sales ready narratives
Excellent project management; able to develop and drive processes
Salary Range - The salary range for this role, based in Chicago is $135,000 to $150,000 along with an annual bonus, 401K match, profit sharing, and medical and wellness benefits. The salary range is commensurate with the candidate's location, experience, and skillset.
