Teacher - Intervention Specialist, 1 FTE

Job Summary The Intervention Specialist is responsible for delivering specialized instruction and managing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities.

This dual role ensures compliance with federal and state special education laws while fostering inclusive, student-centered learning environments. The intervention specialist collaborates with educators, families, and service providers to support academic, behavioral, and social-emotional development.

Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or related field. Experience working with students with diverse learning needs, including disabilities. Knowledge of IEP development, progress monitoring, and special education compliance. Familiarity with MTSS framework, differentiated instruction, and evidence-based interventions.

Working Conditions 7.75 hours per day, 184 days per school year calendar.

Selection Procedure Applicants will be evaluated based on qualifications, experience, and alignment with district needs. Selected candidates will participate in interviews, which may include panel interviews, reference checks, and/or teaching demonstrations.

Applicants that are offered positions shall be required to submit to an FBI/BCII criminal background check. Failure to satisfactorily pass the criminal background check based on the discretion of the Board of Education will preclude an individual from employment with the district.
