Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities
Customer Service
Maintain an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer awareness with a focus on fast, friendly service.
Assist customers with product suggestions; make intercom announcements as needed.
Engage in suggestive selling through telephone, intercom, and direct customer interaction.
Answer and respond to incoming calls appropriately.
Resolve customer complaints when possible and notify the Store Director as needed.
Daily Operations & Production
Assist with planning daily operations and monitoring production processes in accordance with company procedures and profitability expectations.
Trim, cut, wrap, tray, display, and water produce.
Build produce displays; rotate and remove outdated or spoiled product.
Maintain a clean and organized work area and department.
Implement effective promotional and seasonal displays.
Support operation and maintenance of the Salad Bar and Fresh‑Made areas (where applicable).
Follow and maintain department standards related to Fresh‑Made procedures and product freshness.
Team Leadership
Monitor employee productivity and assist with evaluating their overall performance.
Assist with scheduling employees to ensure adequate coverage and customer service levels.
Maintain full knowledge of all department roles, including opening and closing duties.
Apply working knowledge of company policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
Inventory, Quality, and Shrink Control
Ensure proper code‑dating procedures are enforced for all products.
Assist with physical inventory every four weeks.
Help control inventory to ensure adequate quantity, quality, and freshness.
Maintain inventory levels according to division directives.
Stock, rotate, and organize product in the produce cooler.
Control shrink and departmental costs.
Implement proper product preparation techniques.
Operate equipment such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, scissors, knives, safety cutters, and Sterilox machines.
Receiving, Paperwork & Administrative Tasks
Perform receiving duties including breaking down loads, verifying invoices, inspecting quality, reporting shortages, stocking, and rotating product.
Follow temperature and storage guidelines and proper packaging techniques.
Complete and maintain required paperwork such as:
Daily log sheets
Fresh‑Made production charts
Sales and labor documentation
Other necessary logs and reports
Maintain accurate department records.
Food Safety, Sanitation & Temperature Compliance
Ensure proper temperature levels are maintained for all products.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the sales floor, work areas, equipment, coolers, and display areas.
Ensure proper and accurate signing of products.
Follow all food safety, temperature, storage, and sanitation procedures.
Other Responsibilities
Perform all job duties and responsibilities safely, accurately, and with honesty and integrity.
Carry out other necessary and assigned duties as required.

Pay Transparency Starting rates will be no less than the local minimum wage and may vary based on things like location, experience, qualifications, and the terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement. Candidates with unique qualifications may be considered for compensation above this range. Dependent on length of service, hours worked, any applicable collective bargaining agreement and/or Company policy, benefits may include medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, sick pay, PTO/Vacation pay, paid holidays, bereavement pay and retirement benefits (pension and/or 401(k) eligibility). Associates in this position may be eligible for a quarterly bonus, subject to Company bonus plans. Applications are accepted on an on‑going basis.

Sick pay and PTO/Vacation pay are accrued based on hours worked and paid holidays are issued at 7-9 days annually.
