Oversee daily operations of the Sales/Purchasing Department, balancing sales growth and cost control objectives.
Establish, monitor, and report department KPIs.
Ensure timely preparation and approval of customer quotations for new models, engineering changes, and service parts.
Maintain and control the company price list (CCF) and sales/purchase unit price masters in the ERP system.
Approve final selling prices and purchasing targets consistent with margin and corporate pricing policy.
Develop and implement B2B sales strategies for key accounts and target markets.
Lead customer negotiations on pricing, terms, and delivery; present proposals and product overviews to customers.
Coordinate and participate in customer meetings, contract reviews, and commercial dispute resolution.
Direct sourcing strategy, supplier selection, evaluation, and performance management to secure competitive pricing and reliable supply.
Negotiate purchase terms, long‑term agreements, and supplier cost‑reduction initiatives.
Collaborate with sister companies on consolidated sourcing and pricing opportunities.
Oversee service parts pricing methodology, order tracking, and fulfillment coordination with logistics and service teams.
Ensure accurate costing and margin calculation for aftermarket and service parts.
Manage download, storage, and revision control of initial drawings and technical documentation.
Coordinate RFQs with the parent company for new assets; ensure asset tagging and lifecycle tracking.
Supervise, mentor, and develop department staff; assign responsibilities and conduct performance reviews.
Provide training and guidance on quotation practices, negotiation techniques, ERP usage, and pricing analysis.
Drive process improvements, standard operating procedures, and knowledge sharing across the team.
Work closely with manufacturing, quality, engineering, logistics, and finance to align commercial and procurement activities with production and quality requirements.
Coordinate sales and purchasing activities with sister companies to ensure consistency and leverage synergies.
Provide input and approval guidance on contracted services, lease agreements, and third‑party procurement.
Ensure contractual terms protect company interests and comply with corporate policies.
Prepare and present monthly and quarterly reports to senior management covering sales performance, procurement savings, pricing changes, and risk areas.
Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and corporate governance standards.
Perform additional tasks and special projects as assigned by senior management to support company objectives.
Qualifications:
4‑Year college degree from a nationally‑accredited college or university.
A minimum of 4 years experience, reflecting increasing responsibilities in sales and purchasing, particularly in the areas of sales pricing, negotiation and customer relations. Preferably some or all of this experience will have been acquired with automotive manufacturers.
The position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, a strong customer‑service attitude, cost accounting skills and excellent interpersonal skills.
