Progressively responsible fundraising or related experience, including leadership in a major capital campaign.
Track record of successful frontline fundraising, including principal gift experience (discovery through solicitation and stewardship).
Experience in higher education and in a hybrid centralized‑decentralized fundraising model involving colleges, schools, and units.
Strong ability to develop and execute strategic fundraising plans; experience working with senior administration and engaging diverse constituencies.
Experience nurturing high‑level volunteers and expressing appreciation for their role in building an effective development network.
Event planning skills.
Knowledge of and experience using the Blackbaud CRM system.
Valid driver’s license.

Position Summary The Senior Director of Development and Alumni Relations leads the overall operations and performance of the Terry College of Business Development and Alumni Relations teams. The incumbent serves as the chief development officer, responsible for increasing philanthropic support and engagement for Terry College through an integrated approach to development and alumni affairs.

Duties and Responsibilities Executive Leadership
Supervise and manage a team of approximately 20 staff, providing leadership in fundraising performance and alumni relations activities.
Collaborate with the dean to design and implement fundraising strategies to meet college needs.
Develop and oversee a comprehensive short‑ and long‑term strategic plan for fundraising.
Frontline Fundraising
Develop and manage a portfolio of 30+ high‑impact principal gift prospects ($1M+).
Lead prospective donors through the development cycle, demonstrating donor‑centered strategies.
Prepare proposals, presentations, and other fundraising materials.
Record interactions in the giving and alumni database (GAIL) in a timely manner.
Collaborate with university fundraisers on shared prospects.
Constituent Programs Liaison
Serve as liaison between Terry College and University Development, ensuring policy compliance.
Attend division, development, and administrative meetings.
Collaborate with all DAR teams and partners across campus.
