About the Role We are seeking a driven
Business Development Manager – Oil & Gas Completions
to support our growth in the Houston market and surrounding basins. This role focuses on expanding our completions product and service offerings, building strategic relationships with operators and service companies headquartered in the Houston Energy Corridor, and driving revenue across our completions portfolio.
The ideal candidate is well‑connected within the Houston oil & gas community and has a strong technical understanding of completions operations.
Key Responsibilities Sales & Market Growth
Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the oil & gas completions segment (plug-and-perf, wireline services, frac services, downhole tools, etc.).
Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve territory revenue targets.
Expand relationships with operators, service companies, and industry partners.
Client Relationship Management
Serve as the primary point of contact for key customers.
Maintain regular communication to understand ongoing needs, project pipelines, and upcoming opportunities.
Deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations as needed.
Strategic Planning & Analysis
Monitor market activity, competitor offerings, pricing trends, and technological advancements.
Provide leadership with timely reporting on sales pipelines, forecasts, and market intelligence.
Participate in quarterly and annual business planning initiatives.
Collaboration & Coordination
Partner with operations, engineering, and product lines to ensure alignment with customer requirements.
Support contract negotiations, proposals, and bid packages.
Qualifications Required
5+ years of business development, sales, or account management experience in the oil & gas industry.
Strong technical understanding of completions operations (e.g., frac, wireline, plugs, packers, completion tools).
Existing network within Houston-based operators and service companies.
Proven track record of business growth and customer acquisition.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Ability to travel
Preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Petroleum Technology, or similar.
Experience with completions product lines, downhole tools, and high-spec frac technologies.
Familiarity with major Houston operator decision-making structures.
