
Director, Groups & Events Program Enablement (Tech Focus)

The Director, Groups & Events Program Enablement (tech) owns the enterprise technology enablement agenda for IHG Groups & Events, ensuring platforms and partners deliver measurable commercial and hotel impact. This role sets the Groups & Events tech strategy, governs the roadmap, and leads partner/platform performance across priority channels
Your day to day
Manage strategic relationships with key Groups & Events channel partners and intermediaries (e.g., Groups360, Cvent, Meetings marketplaces).
Ensure partner platforms support IHG’s commercial objectives, brand positioning, and customer experience expectations.
Set the Groups & Events technology strategy, including long-term vision, roadmap, capability requirements, and solution recommendations.
Own the enterprise Groups & Events technology strategy and translate it into a clear, sequenced roadmap aligned to Groups & Events priorities.
Govern prioritization of the Groups & Events technology roadmap, ensuring transparency of tradeoffs, dependencies, and value delivery.
Monitor adoption, remove friction, and ensure the technology ecosystem meets hotel, sales, and customer needs.
Lead platform partner strategy and performance, including core relationships such as Groups 360 and other intermediaries/marketplace partners relevant to Groups & Events.
Own the business side of defining and managing system requirements and workflows needed to deliver Groups & Events capabilities.
Ensure ongoing evolution and upgrades of Groups & Events digital experiences.
Drive enterprise alignment across Sales, Brand, Regions, Operations, and Technology so capability changes are adoptable and land in hotels with minimal friction.
Establish performance management for tech enablement (platform adoption, funnel outcomes, service levels) and elevate risks/issues through governance forums.
Lead and develop the Tech Enablement team (2 direct reports).
What we need from you
Bachelor’s degree required (Business, Technology, Hospitality, or related)
Advanced degree preferred (not required)
8–12 years in product/platform enablement, digital strategy, partner platforms, or commercial technology roles
Demonstrated experience owning and governing enterprise technology roadmaps, including prioritization, sequencing, and value trade‑offs.
Proven track record defining business strategy and translating it into technology capabilities and requirements.
Experience managing external platform or marketplace partners, ideally in B2B, hospitality, travel, or complex enterprise ecosystems.
Strong experience operating in global, matrixed organizations, influencing without direct authority.
Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional alignment across Technology, Sales, Brand, Operations, and Regions.
Experience ensuring technology initiatives land successfully in frontline environments, with attention to adoption, change management, and hotel execution.
Location - Our hybrid work structure is an expectation of three (3) days a week in office. This expectation may be adjusted to evolve with the changing needs of the business.
The salary range for this role is $150,000.00 to $185,000.00. This role is also eligible for bonus pay. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401K, and other benefits to employees.
