What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
Research and develop new methods for loss reserving
Prepare and coordinate analyses of monthly and quarterly loss reserves
Perform complex data analysis with minimal oversight
Evaluate and recommend methodologies for commercial insurance loss reserving
Provide training and guidance to Actuarial Analysts
What is Required (Qualifications)
BA/BS in statistics, mathematics, actuarial science, or a related field
At least 5 years of experience performing statistical and actuarial analysis in Commercial or Personal lines insurance, with a preference for Commercial Auto
Completion of 5 or more actuarial exams
Proficiency in statistical analysis and programming languages such as SQL, R, or Python
Strong analytical and communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
Experience specifically in actuarial analysis on Commercial Auto lines insurance
Effective programming skills in various computer software
Proven problem-solving and critical thinking abilitiesAbility to work effectively in a team environment
Basic knowledge of the actuarial industry
