What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
Research and develop new methods for loss reserving
Prepare and coordinate analyses of monthly and quarterly loss reserves
Perform complex data analysis with minimal oversight
Develop and analyze new methodologies for commercial insurance loss reserving
Provide training and guidance to junior Actuarial Analysts
What is Required (Qualifications):
BA/BS in statistics, mathematics, actuarial science, or a related field
At least 5 years of experience in statistical and actuarial analysis in Commercial or Personal lines insurance (Commercial Auto preferred)
Completion of 5 or more actuarial exams
Proficiency in statistical analysis and programming languages such as SQL, R, or Python
Strong analytical and communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
Experience specifically in actuarial analysis on Commercial Auto lines insurance
Effective computer programming skills
Proven problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
Strong oral and written communication skills
Basic knowledge of the actuarial industry and ability to contribute to company culture initiatives
