
Regional Sales Engineer

Role Description This position is based in the
Tennessee, Mississippi, and Alabama
region, the selected candidate must reside in one of these states. We are seeking a candidate with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with customers and internal teams, including project management, technology engineering, and applications staff.
In this role, you will use your knowledge of engineering principles and product expertise to support customers with their applications and provide effective solutions. You must be able to communicate technical information clearly at various organizational levels and translate complex concepts into simplified explanations for non-technical audiences. Travel within the assigned territory is required and will account for approximately 60–80% of the role.
Sales Engineers are the primary contact for the customer and are responsible for actively driving and managing the sales process. Working in conjunction with the application and project teams as the customer advisor and product advocate, the Sales Engineer must be able to identify and provide reliable solutions for all account issues to assure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales and production process. The Sales Engineer must be able to establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the sales cycle.
Responsibilities
Developing customer relationships
Uncovering customer applications
Reporting customer / project activity within the sales and applications team
Recommending solutions in parallel with Application Engineering support
Identifying project opportunities at the tier supplier and industrial customer level
Driving top-down TOX solutions – from end user to Integrator
Qualifications
BS in Engineering, technical selling experience, or equivalent successful experience in a similar industry role.
Experience 3–5 Years in Engineering and Business Development, B2B customer support.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Understand mechanical and electrical blueprints and have basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical control systems.
Familiar with Industry Standards such as ISO, DIN, SAE, etc.
Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, and superior presentation skills.
Available for Travel, 60-80% required.
Customer Service experience and order management.
Proven track record of new business development in the field of mechanical products
